Fear, a topic that is brought up all the time, but still has not been talked about enough. We live in uncertain times, a lot of people are fearful about a lot of things. There’s fear in health as our culture continues to increase it’s numbers of those who are obese or taking medication and pharmaceuticals. There’s fear in career and business as even people with traditional education are having trouble finding employment. Companies are laying off employees and technology is taking over human jobs every day. There’s fear in our relationships, the divorce rate is around 50%, people feel more lonely now than ever even though we have been connected through the internet and many people are fearful of the opinions of others. So what’s going on here? The truth is we all fear at some level or another. So here is a proven method that can take you out of fear and into action in three steps. 1. Realize that we are all fearful from time to time, it’s to be expected because we are human. Fear is wired into who we are as a species, we are made to survive, we are not made to be happy. The brain is always looking for ways to protect you from whatever it is you fear. So the first idea here is to get clear that it’s natural and rather than trying to avoid it, face it and figure out what it’s all about and what message it’s trying to tell you. Get clear on exactly what it is you fear because awareness is always the first step. 2. Whatever it is you are experiencing in life, odds are on this planet of 7 billion people, someone will be able to relate to whatever you are going through. Use this as reassurance that someone else has made it through and you can too. Find a role model and do exactly what they did to change their lives and break through fear. 3. Take immediate action. Thinking all day about the fear will not get you anywhere, we need to move from our thoughts to our actions. Do something you love, get to work, help others, whatever you gotta do to get out of your head and move into your body. When you find your flow, you no longer have time to fear. Don’t just read this, give yourself this gift and take the time to go through this process, it’s changed my life, it just might change yours.
